Did you inherit something you don't know about?

This question troubles thousands of Slovaks. Enter your name or your parents' name and find out in seconds — free, no registration, and without us processing or storing your data.

How it works

01

Enter a name

Your own, or your parents' or grandparents' — inheritance most often gets lost a generation back.

02

We search the register

We compare the name against the list of unidentified owners, without storing any search history.

03

You decide what's next

If there's a match, we explain what it means — the decision on what to do is left to a notary or attorney.

What this tool is — and isn't

It is

  • A search of publicly available lists (SPF), a link to the Central Electronic Notice Board of the Courts, and securities verification via CDCP
  • "Possible match" information, nothing more
  • A free first step before visiting a notary

It isn't

  • Proof of ownership or legal advice
  • A replacement for probate proceedings with a notary
  • A guarantee that the list contains absolutely everything

Frequently asked questions

Is the search on zdedilsom.sk free?

Yes, searching the list of unidentified SPF owners is free and requires no registration.

Do you store the name I enter?

The name is only used to search the SPF list via our API. The result is shown only to you; we do not store any search history.

Does a name match mean I've really inherited something?

No. It is always only a possible match, which needs to be verified with a notary or in court.

Where does the data come from?

From the list of unidentified owners of the Slovak Land Fund, which is updated twice a year.

Does zdedilsom.sk provide legal advice?

No. This is an informational tool, not a law firm. For a specific legal course of action we recommend a notary or attorney.

What if my ancestors also lived in the Czech Republic?

Given the shared history of Czechoslovakia, many families have roots on both sides of the border. For the Czech side, a similar tool is available at zdediljsem.cz.
